The best businesses in El Pasowere never listed. We go get them.

A local firm on Stanton Street, representing private buyers across El Paso County, Doña Ana County, and West Texas. You define what you want to own. We find the owners, approach them discreetly, protect your identity, and run the process to closing.

Prefer to talk first? Call (915) 318-2226. It is the partners, no call center.

An owner we called last month asked who our client was. We told him what we tell everyone: that he will hear the name the day our client decides he should. That is the job.

  • Headquartered in El Paso — El Paso County, Doña Ana County, and West Texas
  • We represent the buyer, not the seller
  • Your name is never disclosed without your authorization

By the time a good business is listed, you are the ninth person to see it.

A commercial mechanical facility — the kind of company that never gets listed

No listing. No broker. No sign on the gate.

The seven-figure HVAC, plumbing, and service companies rarely advertise that they'd sell.

Every business you can find online has already been packaged, priced, and passed on. You are not competing on judgment at that point. You are competing on speed and on price, against buyers who saw it before you did.

The businesses actually worth owning are usually run by someone who has never spoken to a broker, has no idea what the business is worth, and would take the right call on the right day.

We have been on the other side of that call. Our partners built and ran a company doing nearly $10 million a year. We know which questions get an owner to keep talking.

What do you want to own?

Service companies, trades, manufacturing, practices, storefronts. Tap the closest one and we will refine it with you, here in El Paso, Doña Ana County, or anywhere in West Texas.

Whose Side We Are On

When you retain us, you are the client. Not the deal.

Most of the people who will show you a business are working for the person selling it. Their job is to get the highest number the market will bear. That is a legitimate job. It is just not your job.

A buy-side engagement inverts it. You appoint us as your exclusive agent for a defined target profile and market area. We work from your criteria, we approach owners on your behalf, and we sit on your side of the table from the first phone call to the closing table.

  • A written engagement signed before any outreach begins
  • Month to month, terminable by either party on thirty days' notice
  • Fixed terms disclosed in the consultation and written into the agreement, the same for every buyer we represent
El Paso, Texas at dusk with the Franklin Mountains behind the downtown grid

El Paso, mapped. Not browsed.

01

We build a target list, not a search result.

We define the profile with you, then research ownership and contact records through the Texas Secretary of State and other public sources to find the businesses that fit it. Most of them are not for sale. That is the point.

A desk with a phone and notes, where the discreet approach is made

The approach comes from Covenant.

02

We make the approach, and you stay invisible.

Owners hear from Covenant, not from you. Your identity, your affiliates, and your existing operations are not disclosed to any seller or third party without your written authorization.

A fountain pen over a signature line on an agreement

Signed before anything confidential moves.

03

We handle the paper so you do not have to.

Sellers sign confidentiality agreements before anything confidential moves. You authorize us to execute those on your behalf, so you are protected and can enforce them directly without personally signing every one.

Then you get a short list. Not a feed.

How the Engagement Works

Six steps. Written down before any of them happen.

01

The consultation.

We define what you are trying to own: industry, geography, size, structure, and how you intend to fund it. You ask hard questions. We answer them. Terms are put in front of you here, in full.

02

The mandate.

A written engagement setting the target profile, the market area, confidentiality in both directions, and the fee terms. Plain English. You read it line by line before you sign anything.

03

The search.

We research ownership records and build the target list, then approach owners directly and confidentially. They do not learn who you are.

» What an owner is told about you: that our client is qualified, serious, and will be introduced when the time is right.

04

The short list.

You see the ones that fit, with confidentiality already in place. We coordinate the meetings and the flow of information.

05

The number gets tested.

An independent NACVA-credentialed appraiser we commission prepares a certified valuation. The same caliber of report banks, buyers, the IRS, and courts rely on. If you are financing, 7(a) supports transactions up to $5 million, and we prepare the deal with that in mind.

06

Offer, diligence, close.

We assist with the indication of interest and the letter of intent, and we stay on it through negotiation, diligence, and closing.

You hear from us throughout. Not a portal, a phone call.

Your Name, Your Call

Nobody learns who you are until you decide they should.

Some buyers cannot be seen looking. You may have a competitor in the same category, partners who are not read in, a current employer, or an existing company whose name changes the price the moment it is mentioned.

So we do not mention it. Your identity, your affiliates, and your intentions are confidential, and they stay that way until you authorize disclosure in writing. That obligation does not expire when the engagement does.

To every seller, you are a qualified buyer we can vouch for. Nothing more than that, until you say otherwise.

Where Our Lane Ends

We would rather tell you no.

  • We will not push you toward a business because it is convenient for us.
  • We will not represent both sides of your transaction.
  • We will not disclose your identity to a seller without your written authorization.
  • We are not your attorney, your accountant, your tax advisor, or your lender, and we will tell you when a question belongs to one of them.
  • We do not verify a seller's numbers for you. We help you test them, and your own diligence is yours.
  • We take a limited number of buy-side engagements at a time, on purpose. You get a partner, not a queue position.
  • If the business in front of you is a bad buy, we will say so before you spend another dollar on it.

Fit

This works for a specific kind of buyer.

A good fit

  • You have capital ready and a clear idea of what you want to own
  • You want one or two serious conversations, not a subscription to listings
  • You are buying an operating business, not passive paper
  • You are prepared to sign a written engagement before work begins

Not a fit

  • You are exploring the idea of buying something, someday
  • You want to browse what is currently on the market
  • You want us to find a business and get paid only if you like it
  • You want representation without an agreement

If the second list is you, we would rather find that out on a fifteen minute call than three months in.

Real businesses. Really sold.

We do not just advise on transactions. We close them.

These are sellers we represented. Ask them what it is like to be on the other side of us.

Questions, Answered

What buyers ask us first.

A broker with a listing works for the person selling it. On a buy-side engagement, we are retained by you and represent you. We start from your criteria and go find the owners, most of whom have nothing listed anywhere.

The structure is a monthly retainer plus a small success fee at closing, and it requires your purchase capital to be ready — cash, or an SBA pre-approval. The figures are fixed, written into the agreement, and the same for every buyer we represent. We put them in front of you in the consultation, before anything is signed, and we do not publish them on a website.

No. The engagement is month to month and terminable by either party on thirty days' written notice.

Not until you decide they should. We make the approach as Covenant, and your identity, affiliates, and existing operations are not disclosed without your written authorization.

Profitable operating businesses. The target profile is defined per engagement. Covenant's transaction experience includes bars and nightlife, restaurants and food, retail, salons and spas, and entertainment venues.

We are headquartered in El Paso and serve clients across Texas. The market area is defined in the engagement.

Before you commit, the number gets tested by an independent NACVA-credentialed appraiser we commission. The same caliber of report banks, buyers, the IRS, and courts rely on. Covenant is not the appraiser.

If you are financing, SBA 7(a) supports transactions up to $5 million, and we structure and prepare deals with that in mind. Covenant does not lend, arrange, or guarantee financing.

Bring it to the consultation. We can make the approach discreetly, protect your identity, and run the process on a business you have already identified.

No purchase is promised. The engagement is terminable on thirty days' notice, and we would rather end an engagement than force a bad buy.
