You stay in your lane, and get paid anyway.
Selling a business is not selling a building. Financials, SBA financing, buyer vetting, NDAs, diligence, escrow — it is a different trade. You make the introduction. We do the trade.
For Commercial & Residential Real Estate Agents · El Paso, TX

Six taps, about 40 seconds. A partner calls you back — not a coordinator.
You've had that call. A local owner you sold a building to, or leased a space to, trusts you enough to ask. And the honest answer is that a business is not a property — different valuation, different buyers, different financing, different paperwork.
So most agents say “let me ask around,” and the conversation quietly dies. That call is worth something. It should be worth something to you.
We've been on the owner's side of the table. Our partners built and ran a company doing nearly $10 million a year. We know what a serious business is worth — because we operated one.
Why Agents Partner With Us
01
Selling a business is not selling a building. Financials, SBA financing, buyer vetting, NDAs, diligence, escrow — it is a different trade. You make the introduction. We do the trade.
02
A referral fee out of our commission, paid when the deal funds. The number lives in a signed agreement before you send us a single name. No clawbacks, no chasing us for it.
03
We're business brokers. We don't list buildings, we don't take listings on real property, and we don't hand your client to another agent. When the business sells, that owner usually has real estate to move and cash to place. You're still their agent.
One Introduction. One Check.
Largest referral fee we have paid to date
$20,302.50
Paid to a referring partner on one completed sale. He made an introduction and a phone call. We did the rest, and he was wired his fee the day the deal funded.
When you introduce an owner and that business sells through Covenant, you're paid a referral fee — a fixed share of our commission, paid at closing.
It isn't negotiated case by case and it isn't buried in a footnote. It's a set number, written into a two-page agreement, the same for every partner we sign. We don't post it on a website. A number like that deserves a table, a handshake, and a document you can read line by line before you sign anything.
The $20,302.50 figure above is an actual referral fee Covenant Business Brokers paid to a referring partner on a single completed transaction. It is the largest referral fee we have paid to date and it is not typical, average, or expected. Referral compensation depends entirely on whether a business actually sells, its final sale price, and the terms of the signed referral agreement — all of which vary widely, and many introductions never result in a sale at all. Nothing on this page is a projection, guarantee, or promise of earnings of any kind. Referral fees are paid only under a written agreement, only at closing, and only where permitted by applicable law and your brokerage's policies.
How the Partnership Works
01
Our office on Stanton or a call, whichever you prefer. You ask the hard questions about how we get paid and how you get paid.
02
A short, plain-English referral agreement. Fee terms, confidentiality, and how you're paid. Two pages, not twenty.
03
An email or a phone call the next time an owner asks you whether you can sell their business. That's the entire ask.
04
Certified valuation from an independent NACVA-credentialed appraiser. Confidential marketing to vetted buyers under NDA. Staff, customers, and competitors never know.
05
Your fee is wired at closing, out of our commission. You spent one phone call and kept your name on the relationship.

“Selling a retail clothing business comes with unique challenges: finding someone who understands the brand, the inventory, and the customer base. Yazir took the time to really understand what I’d built with my clothing store and found a buyer who appreciated the vision. The process was confidential, professional, and he kept me informed every step of the way. I’m grateful for how smoothly everything went.”
